Another change to have a go at A Tale in the Desert on December 5th. Here is the info we received:Beta Testers,
The next play session is:
12/05/2001 2:30PM EST until (at least) 4:30PM
UK Testers: London time is 5 hours ahead of EST.
We've recently added "Kettles" which can be built by anyone with the cooking skill. These are an intermediate-level building, useful for making Potash, a component of glass. Additional uses for kettles will be added.
Status of Glassblowing research at the University of Art and Music:
Material: | Donated/Needed: | Comments: |
Large Emerald | 0/1 | Very rare, but people have found these. |
Large Ruby | 0/1 | Very rare, but people have found these. |
Large Sapphire | 0/1 | Only one of these has been found. |
Lime | 0/5 | ??? |
Potash | 0/5 | Made by boiling ash in an iron kettle. |
Sand | 25000/50000 | Easy to get, but needs to be carried in by foot. |
Pharaoh has agreed to that once two of the needed gems are donated, he will donate the third from his personal collection.
I don't want to give out too much information about glassblowing before research is complete, except to say that skill in glassblowing is very different from other skills so far introduced.
