It was a long line, the kind of line that usually has a roller coaster or Rolling Stones tickets at the end of it. It was a strange line too, filled with mages and ninjas and cos-players and humes. At the end of this line, which stretched deep into the Santa Monica Pier past street performers and corn dog vendors, awaited the Treasures of Aht Urhgan, the newest expansion pack to Square Enix's MMORPG, Final Fantasy XI.

While Aht Urhgan is a PC expansion, it will also be included in the Xbox 360 version of the game as well. In fact, the 360 version of the game will include all of the other FFXI expansion packs. Gamers at the fan festival waited hours to play a 30-minute session of Aht Urhgan. A section of the giant FF tent was cordoned off and giant Alienware hard drives glowed like a Black Mage spell. Fellow IGN cohort Jessica Chobot and I managed to jump in and take the new Besieged mode for a spin.
