VE3D has a quote from Bethsoft's Pete Hines on the Oblivion patch:

Basically, we're working on it and trying to get it done. We've found a few additional things we wanted to include and are trying to finish up testing as soon as we can.

We'll let folks know as soon as the beta patch is ready.
