Gamecloud interviews author Peter S. Beagle about his upcoming work on Horizons.
Gamecloud - First, can you give our readers who might not be familiar with your work some background on your previous prose work?

Peter S. Beagle - I’m a novelist and occasional screenwriter, and I’ve been at it since I was too young to know better. My first novel, A FINE AND PRIVATE PLACE, came out in 1960. And the book I’m best known for, THE LAST UNICORN, came out in 1968. My personal favorite is a novel called THE INNKEEPER’S SONG, which is currently out of print but which will be reissued next year in hardcover from Conlan Press (http://www.conlanpress.com). So far I’ve had about 20 books of fiction and nonfiction published, with translations into at least 25 different languages. And I’ve had something like eight screenplays and teleplays produced so far, including the scripts for the animated version of THE LAST UNICORN, the 1978 version of THE LORD OF THE RINGS, and the “Sarek” episode of STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION.
