Houston Vehicles' "Royale" reveals this rather rave, albeit reduced, review re Advent Rising, which earns itself a 4.3 out of 5 "King Cans"...

You are found in space by another race, the Aurelians who revere you as some kind of demigod. You begin to learn a little about your history and what it means to be a human. You go through some training and unlock hidden power's. Soon after this discovery, Gideon goes through a fast paced action ride for the whole game.

The game has a combat based system in which the more you use a weapon or mental power the more effective it becomes as well as more damage it does. You get various power's like lift, surge and an abilty called time damp as well as many more. You can use lift throw enemies and objects around like they were toy's.

Overall I found the game to my liking. It is fast paced, keeps you interested with the action it has it's own type of strategy so you have to use your brains not just go blasting stuff (which it has a fair amount of though). The game has really well done story line and plot. The graphics are really good nothing to complain about. The game itself even appeals to our vanity as a human race by calling us some mythical beings.
