Well, I knew from the beginning that all the mess was his own fault *eg* (story). It's pretty funny to note that almost the exact same thing happened to me. I installed the patch and the installer froze at 100% for what seemed to be an eternity. I cancelled the task via the task manager and tried to reinstall the patch. Same BS as before so I thought 'screw it' and let the installer run in the background while surfing around the net. About five minutes later, the installer reported back, telling me the patch had successfully been installed. Well, patience does pay off sometimes *gg*.
