A review of Neverwinter Nights that is not as praising as other reviews on the net can be found at epiGamer (Overall Score: 7.5/10). Here's an excerpt:
The actual dynamics of play however suffer from a number of faults, the biggest one being you only control one character. Controlling this character is easy enough, the new sleek interface is efficient allowing all manner of actions to be assigned to 36 quick-slots, the only major failing is the inventory which has a knack becoming a mess whenever you leave it alone for more than 5 minutes while also being a pain to organise. No, the main problem is that in order to make up for the skill shortage from only having one player character the game assigns you a henchman, an accursed henchman.
