Fans of the original Deus Ex were shocked by the news that Deus Ex 2 (and Thief 3) are going to be released on console (X-Box) first. They have therefore started an Online Petition addressing Eidos Interactive and Ion Storm in an effort to convince them of an initial PC release.
Related news come from Through The Looking Glass who have Words of Reassurance from Emil Pagliarulo, a designer of the former Thief titles and Thief 3 who confirmed that Thief 3 is primarily targetted at Microsoft´s X-Box rather than PC.

Here´s what the online petition is about:

    To: Eidos and Ion Storm

The Deus Ex community is devastated by the news that Deus Ex 2 will be created for consoles first then ported to the PC. We are hoping that Eidos and Ion Storm will reconsider their decision. We understand this is a business decision and you believe that making the game for console owners will make more money; this is true however you may sacrifice quality for quantity. Consoles have far to many downsides and we would prefer less FPS action and more RPG. Please consider our argument.
