Gameport has previewed Another War, an isometric RPG settled in the middle of WW 2. Here's some detail about this game from their hands-on preview:
Another War is not hard-core RPG exactly which is evident in forming characters of your hero. It is not so easy like Dungeon Siege naturally but you cannot do everything what you would like to do. There are eight principal stats of your hero - they are Power, Dexterity, Intelligence, Stamina (Odolnost), Charisma, Speed and Luck. System of their improving is solved by awarding skill-points. In the beginning of the play you can add four points to each stats. There are only three "professions" in Another War which can predetermine the stats of your hero. You can be a strongman, a thief or an intellectual but the true pluses and negations can be shown in other parts of the game then. In the beginning the differences between the activities are not very big and they can be shown in apparently different dialogues only. In the course of the play there can appear another system of statistics which can make particular characters. In the beginning of the play there will be only your level in combat face to face in the place of statistics but other affairs like controlling guns, rifles or grenades. There are eight of these abilities and they can be improved the same way like standard characters i. e. after finishing a new level you will receive one free skill-point which you can add to one character or to one ability.
