The latest DAoC expansion, Trials of Atlantis, has been reviewed at GamesPimp. The score is 9.2/10 and here's a snip:
The rewards for each Master Level are both useful and varied. Most of these abilities are designed for realm vs. realm combat, but many are also useful in player vs. monster combat. These abilities give characters options that did not exist before. For example, warrior types typically did not have a defined role in player vs. player combat. They absorbed a lot of damage, and that was all. With Trials of Atlantis they can now choose the path of a Battlemaster or a Warlord. Battlemaster abilities are combat abilities, stances and special attacks. Warlords however, gain the ability to heal others in combat and to motivate their comrades with shouts. These shouts will encourage all realm mates within a certain radius of the warrior, making them very useful in sieges or battlegroups. Some spell caster abilities make it easier to detect rogues, which has been an oft-requested feature in the past.
