Not the best RPG I've ever played. I just couldn't get into it.

Jesse has rated 7/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Jesse)

It had it's good moments but it never seemed to grab hold of me. I had trouble continuing play after awhile.

garrett has rated 8/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from garrett)

I really liked it, it had a nice atmosphere, but combat was too heavy, so I quit about half way

Red! has rated 8/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Red!)

It was a really good RPG. I wish the acting was better done however. The 2 or 3 showstopper bugs were really a pain in the ass as I got bitten by 2 of them. I beleive the patch fixes them all, though I managed to avoid them without it.

HiddenX has rated 7/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from HiddenX)

Good in the beginning, getting worse to the end - the last dungeon levels are not so well designed.

Shyguy has rated 7/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Shyguy)

Enjoyable dungeon romp with some imaginative levels and some just so-so levels. Kinda fun.

kraylore has rated 5/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from kraylore)

i'll nver forget the HYPE this game generated before its' release and it did have some cool features i wish would be implemented in current rpgs. but overall it's one of the few RPGs i onced owned and got rid of.

Very atmospheric, but combat was so heavy, I had to cheat through it

TribalMan has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from TribalMan)

This was the first rpg I ever played on the PC so it will always be one of my favorites. Maybe it was a good thing that I was new to the PC scene when Stonekeep released, therefore I had heard none of the hype and had no great expectations nor did I understand the long development time that was invlolved. I really enjoyed this game and played it from beginning to end while trying to do everything in the middle. I remeber at one point I got stuck, unable to continue. I think I called Interplay or something, and they mailed me the patch disks. I still have them. I am guessing I was not on the net at the time, so I had no way to download the patch. Before the patch arrived, I had managed to work around the bug and defeat the game. Being that I have not played Stonekeep since 1995 and it is now 2002, I can not really go into the details of the game, but I will always remember that I was very absorbed into the world and story during my many hours of gameplay, almost to the point of a 'need' to play on until the end.

Back then it was awesome! Was my first roleplaying game too. Great storyline, very good magic system and dungeons to keep you up all night. I really hope someone will make a sequel...

WarlockFX has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from WarlockFX)

Great dungeon. Nice story, graphic and interface. Very good skill development system. It is a pity that thay canceled the sequel :( I would give it 8/10 but there was a nice book it the box too, and the ather comments about this game are rather harsh so I will be nice on them and give it 9/10.

Sugadude has rated 8/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Sugadude)

Among the better RPG's out there. The plot is captivating and the atmosphere is also wonderful. The only weak points are the tough combat and the linearity of the storyline.

Desdicado has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Desdicado)

Great value, a HUGE game, with great graphics for it's day, funny and fun NPCs and great gameplay.

'pure crap'

Talvaras has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Talvaras)

I liked this game way back when. I remember having a hard time getting it to run on my 486 DX2 66mhz with 8MB of RAM. I learned a lot about dos thanks to this game.

For it's time it was the best rpg I had ever played. Even now I still drag out my old old old pc to bring back the nostalgia.
