The game begins after you make your decision about being a hard smashing Mongolian looking warlord, a well-trained Chinese swordsman, or an agile female martial artist. Your character starts in a tiny ancient Chinese village that is relatively empty. After you talk to the few townsfolk around you learn that monsters have been attacking all the towns in the vicinity and you begin your quest to save survivors from the monsters.
