Fires of Heaven Guild's website has posted an interesting Chat Log with Brad McQuaid. Here is a tidbit:

Sean : What range of PCs are you aiming at for it to be played on? low end, mid-range, high end?
Aradune : sean: hrm... the engine should be flexible, but it also needs to grow into newer tech, if the game is going to look good long term. I think I might answer you by saying our philosophy there is more EQ 2 and less WoW
Sean : so, scalability for that kinda stuff? gotcha
Aradune : sean: yeah, scalability, but looking forward.
