GamersClick has posted a Cult Q&A with Peter Nagy, team leader and Jan Turan, lead programmer of 3D People company. Here's one of the questions and the answer:
What engine is being used to power this game?

The engine is our own, in-house built, 3D isometric engine - we support a lot of other games (adventures, RTS…) of similar style also. More about engine specifications can be found at our website, but the biggest advantage of our engine is the absolute freedom of map building … we can use and combine tiles with prerendered graphics, modify the maps at runtime, there are no map size or shape limits in the engine, we can create any style of map we want. And I must mention the great dynamic light effects, particle systems for nearly every spell and efect and dynamic day/night change and weather efects.
