Here's a bit: As you already know, a basic ship will have some mounting points already. Comes like that right from the factory. Every time you upgrade the hull, you will be able to add another mounting point for a weapon or device. 'Course, that's dependant on what type of ship you're flying so don't get any ideas about mounting 6 weapons on that trade ship of yours. Progen Warrior ships have the most weapons mounts, with a maximum of 6 weapons mounts and 3 device mounts. The Jenquai Explorers get the most device mounts. 6 of them plus 3 weapons mounts.
