Jonric's review of 'World of Warcraft' is finally out at RPG Vault. As usual there's no score but the prose is fairly positive though balanced. Here's the conclusion:
To put it simply, World of Warcraft is a landmark release for persistent state gaming in the western hemisphere. In a time when the term next generation is thrown about so easily as to seem trite, it seems well on its way to becoming the title that ushers in a new era for the entire category by attracting significant number of new players who aren't experienced online gamers. As for the question posed at the beginning of this review, is it for you? Well, if you're looking for an open-ended sandbox type of experience, or if you demand rock-like stability, perhaps not. For anyone and everyone else, whether veteran of the category or thinking about trying it for the first time, suffice it to say I'm still playing almost a year after entering the beta. I look forward to seeing you in Azeroth.
