City of Heroes had some really terrific features when it came out that presented a new type of experience for MMO gamers, but the one thing that so many people wanted almost immediately was a chance to sink down into the depths of depravity and become a super-powered villain instead. It wasn't too long after the game's release that word came out about a new stand alone game in the City of Heroes universe called City of Villains. Bullies, megalomaniacs, and psychopaths rejoiced with a loud howl of approval. They're howl's been going on for quite some time now though and their voices are more squeaky than threatening at this point. City of Villains has taken a bit longer than some expected, but it's quickly approaching both beta (the end of this month) and release. Cryptic was nice enough to let us in their studio to get a quick teaser of things to come with City of Villains by giving over the controls for a little character creation and a run through the new tutorial.
