Lineage: Episode 8 Patch

Here's some info on the latest patch for Lineage - The Bloodpledge, taken from their boards:

    We are currently patching Giran (Episode Eight) to players attempting to connect to the US Lineage servers. We are currently experiencing extremely heavy traffic on our patch server, and have requested increased bandwidth from our service provider. Players experiencing Send Error messages are urged to attempt a download at a later time, as these errors are the result of a failed connection with the patch server. We strongly suggest downloading the patch file from one of the locations listed on the downloads page (http://lineagethebloodpledge.com/download/) rather than downloading through the game auto-patch utility.

    If you are experiencing incorrect password error messages when attempting to run Lineage, we recommend the following:

    1.Delete your Lineage.cfg file and reboot your computer. The lineage.cfg file is located in your main Lineage directory (like c:/program files/lineage). This configuration file tracks game preferences, so you may need to reset certain preferences (such as how your inventory displays, your sound on/off toggle, etc.)

    2.If deleting your lineage.cfg file does not work, check your Lineage desktop shortcut. Right-click on the shortcut and select Properties. In the Target field, you should see the following: C:\Program Files\Lineage\lineage.exe /us the /us is the significant part and points your Lineage program to connect to the US servers. Do not use the main lineage.exe file to start the game as this may not have the /us and will attempt to send you to a non-US server, thus causing the error.

    3.Do not run any third party programs while updating, installing, or running Lineage. These may interfere with your gameplay and cause errors.

    Please note: we do not recommend continuing to play using the lineage154 update as you will experience significant errors while playing. Should you try all of the above and still experience problems running Lineage after the 163 update, please send an email to support@ncinteractive.com.
