Ok, this is the fourth DAoC review to report about today, but here we go: The site that holds the review is Intelligamer, the rating is - as we are used to - very good (4 stars out of 5), and the conclusion reads like this:
Dark Age of Camelot is perhaps the biggest competition for Everquest yet. Indeed, one can certainly see that the designers played a lot of Everquest and used their experience in an attempt build a better mousetrap. Did they succeed? Yes and no. While many things in Dark Age of Camelot stand head and shoulders above current competition, there are enough problems alongside them to keep things interesting in the race for the honor of best massively multiplayer roleplaying game. Regardless, if you're looking for the latest and greatest online fantasy roleplaying game you could do a lot worse than giving Dark Age of Camelot a whirl. |
