Classic 1st person sci-fi/horror game. One of the best games ever made. Make sure you play the CD version with full voices (SHODANs voice is incredible)! Sort of an RPG in disguise... |

This was such a wonderful game. I got it late, as a freebie on a gaming mag CD. Not knowing anything about the game I expected a lame shooter and I was completely stunned when I started playing. This game really sucked me in and had me walking on my toes like no others until "Dark Project".
Balance was awesome, there was a great sense of place and purpose and Shodan is such a memorable viallain! If you have never played it, this one is worth spending some time with a bit of retro gaming. |

I don't know why kile called it a sequel but it's an excellent game on it's own.
the game had one of the most amazing villians , and the plot is really good.
sure makes me miss the old Origin days - they really did create worlds ( Origin was publisher , Looking Glass , which imployed several of Origin's programmers and designers , was the developer ).

One of the best games I have played... and I am not a FPS fan at all. This game gave me hope that other genres could work in the 3D realm not just pure shooters. The game is also not a pure RPG, but it is fairly open-ended, has a cool storyline with twists and all, and perhaps the best atmosphere that I have experienced. Genuine fear and solitude oozed from my screen. |

Words can't describe what this game was in it's time. I would pay 500$ for a perfect remake. 50$ for a worty sequel, but Looking Glass is no more.. |

In my opinion, the greatest computer game ever made. If this was updated with modern graphics I'd buy it again at full price. So many grounbreaking features and great sound. Kept me up for a long time. |

When you feel absolute terror, when you are creeping just as much as your character, when you lose the dividing line between reality and the threat of Shodan, when you can interact with everything in the gameworld, hack into systems with a neural network, run, dodge, shoot, lean, skate, lurk... when you can do anything and you must use everything at your disposal to stay alive, you are immersed in a game. There may never be another game like System Shock. Totally immersive from start to finish, music, interface, skills, gameplay, all perfection for the time. I am tweaking a DOS rig just to play this and a few other classics. |

This is the game that pried me away form console games to PC games. Like your first kiss, you will never forget how special it was. Everything about the game was near perfect. Classic only begins to describe what a great game it is. |

In my opinion, I don't believe this to be an RPG. Other than that, this is one of the best games I've played. I rank this up their with Deus Ex. it saddens me to think that Doom overshadowed a much more superior game. |
