It’s not fantasy – it’s mythology. President of Perpetual Entertainment Chris McKibbin said that Gods & Heroes is the first MMORPG set in a mythological world (though – something I didn’t bring up with him – Dark Age of Camelot did integrate Norse, Celtic, and Arthurian mythologies into its game design). Then again, MMORPG wasn’t how Chris described the game – rather as an “action/adventure online game” – a game that he wanted to have gameplay as fast as a console game.
