You can find a preview of Anarchy Online: Shadowlands at IGN today. Here's a part of the article:
Two new professions will be added to the game. The Shade is a close-combat specialist. As an elite fighter, he has a suite of advantages. Most significantly, he can suck the energy from his enemies while fighting them. On the other side of the coin are the Keepers. Described as a "hard profession to solo," these helpful types will be able to grant significant bonuses to players they're grouped with. It should be noted that the character of the professions has no relationship to the two factions at war for the Shadowlands but there is a symbiotic relationship between them.
There are changes in store for the existing classes as well. Funcom is adding new specializations to the 12 classes currently in the game. An Enforcer, for instance, can now choose to emphasize either attack or defense. A few hundred Perks have been added to. These are sort of like special moves that you can buy. Continuing the example of the Enforcer, he can now opt to gain things like a snazzy new head-butt or groin kick. There will be three to four new lines of advancement for each profession. These new abilities will allow players to perform new combinations during combat. |
