Quick summary: Final Fantasy XI is going to be the first MMORPG in the series and it is supposed to be released on both, PC and Sony's Playstation 2. A T&L supporting (GeForce + Radeon) graphics adapter is mandatory to be able to play FFXI as the game will make heavy use of DirectX 8.1 features. The PC version will be released on CD-ROM whereas the Playstation 2 version is going to ship in DVD format. The Playstation 2 game will be available throughout Japan in spring. The PC version is due out shortly thereafter. U.S. release dates are to be announced.
