Divine Divinity is often compared to Diablo 2, but this wouldn't do the game justice. In fact, if you liked the old Ultimas, you will like DD for sure. Here's a bit from their hands-on preview: Many aspects of the world will be familiar to fantasy gamers, since its aspects are derived from many common sources. "Oh, we nicked things from everywhere," laughed Vincke. "Lots of fantasy books, it goes from Raymond Feist, Terry Brooks, Tolkien of course. We looked at Diablo, Baldur's Gate, Ultima - all these kinds of things, they inspired us to create this universe. We basically took the things we liked and said, 'we gotta have that, we gotta have that, we gotta have that,' put it all in a big pot, stirred it, and out came Divinity."
