RPGDot Game Rating Machine

Prophecy has rated the following games:

Eve Online: The Second Genesis: 9/10 points

I've been playing Eve for just under 4months now, I personally love it, the thing you must realize though is these few things. The beginning is exceedingly tedious and takes forever to do anything, but after you get skills up, have some ISK (Eve Money) and have contacts in corps it's lots of fun, it just takes awhile to get there. There ARE lots of bugs, but they're getting fixed more and more, and less and less things dont work right, the upcomming Techlevel 2 patch is bringing back alot of the players that left. some jobs are more fun then others, PvP is more fun then mining and hauling, but all 3 are crutial to the Eve economy. and as some others have mentiond "pvp is point and click" that is ENTIRELY NOT TRUE, it takes much more skill then anyone seems to realize, Battleship fights take tactics and skill to win, not just lock and let guns rip (unless you're using 3 specific ships), This is a good game, and needs more people, this game relies heavily on player interactions, if you dont like people, or interacting with people, dont play eve. it's not for you. most people stop playing within the 1st week or 1st month of play, if you stick with it for 2months or more, you're skills are high enough that you can acually do something fun (pvp), another dynamic aspect of Eve is player Alliances, this is not even a game feature, and is ENTIRELY Player run and drivin, in eve there are 0.0 security systems with no cops so anyone can do anything, there are around 4-6 major alliances that have claimed somed of this 0.0 space as their own and fight to protect it, they also wage war on other alliances, have formal Non-aggrestion pacts, Pacts, and Political press's, a PR machine, and so on, and are also run outside of the game. This is the most dynamic game ive ever encounterd, but if you want a quick action fix, the games not for you, this takes time and dedication, the lazy get nothing. Prophecy
