RPG Vault interviews Seed Producer Lars Kroll Kristensen about Runestone's forthcoming MMO.
Jonric: To introduce Seed, what kind of online world will it be, what's the central premise, and what core elements, features and design decisions set it apart?

Kroll: Wow... quite a question. Seed takes place on the planet DaVinci, far away from Earth, in a self-contained colony that tries to terraform the hostile world. The terraforming project is horribly off-schedule, and the colony is suffering from the effects of over-crowding, resource scarcity and worn out machinery. In this struggling society, the players will try to turn the tide, and get the colony back on its feet.

Seed is a heavily role-play-oriented MMO, and unlike most others out there, we have no combat in the game. Seed is a very dynamic gameworld, where players, through democracy, research, political maneuvering and careful use of sparse resources, can decide the direction the colony should take. Our story system is geared towards this type of gameplay, and the stories in it are central to Seed.
