It's ironic that while the leading RTS developers on the PC, Blizzard, are about to unveil their first foray into a MMORPG involving the Warcraft universe, the creators of the PC's most famous online RPG, Sony Online Entertainment, have decided to produce a real-time strategy based upon their opus, EverQuest. As Warcraft Online isn't due until next year, Sony have attempted to draw first blood in their duel with Blizzard and try to snatch the RTS crown, currently residing on the glorious head of Warcraft 3, a game that raised the quality bar quite substantially upon its release nearly two years ago.
