RPGDot Game Rating Machine

AmGonnaHateYouTommorow has rated the following games:

Elder Scrolls 3 - Morrowind: 5/10 points

Biggest disappointment in this sequel to the great Daggerfall.Everything has a half done or not done at all feel about it.There is no balance at all.Light medium heavy armor all protect you the same amount.Weapons look like cardboard sticks wrapped in shiny aluminum foil. The economy is totally unrealistic and unbalanced with shopkeepers who adore you like a favorite nephew with the best prices in town if you bribe them just once.So this one time bribe lasts through out the whole game. How easy how boring.Leveling up is a joke.It seems all you have to do is pick up a piece of paper and VIOLA! you have just reached the next level. So before you know it you are a level 50 character that can kill anything in sight making the combat system even more tedious and useless then it already is.Creature ai is pretty non-existent they just run up to you so you can kill them with a single hit or two. They dont even run away when hurt which is a pretty standard feature nowadays. There is no need to sleep or eat which really kills the sense of being in a real rpg world when you can stay up forever with no worry of starvation.Unlike other rpg games where eating and sleeping are important and add to realism.Another thing to add to the stagnent feel of Morrowind is the fact that people stand around in the same area day and night never going to work or home to rest. Its like why bother putting in a useless clock that tells you the time of day if no one in the world does anything. All the people in towns say the same exact same thing as the person standing next to them. The women are skinny and anorexic.Looking more like little boys or ugly waisted drug addicts. The face art for characters could have been better!I had a hard time choosing someone i wanted to look like. This also made me not want to know anybody in the game world because they look so fake as if the 3d artist was not given enough time to do their job and had to rush something out before deadline.Combat lasts only two seconds as you walk for long boring distances in a land that all looks the same just to kill something with one or two quick hits. The reward system is pathetic. You spend alot of time doing boring walking back and forth quests like the mail man only to end up with either no reward or some stupid shirt or normal potion you could have gotten just by going to the nearby alchemists. So seeing how dull and unfinished the original game is even with patches i decided to try some home made mods available on the internet. And thanks to the thousands of mods that have been made over the past year i have been able to enjoy Morrowind the way it should have gone out to the stores. For that am very grateful and amazed at the quality of mods available to the public. Its gotten to the point where the game actually plays like Daggerfall! So on the matter of the Construction Editor Bethesda did a outstanding one of kind job.Letting it come free with the game is also something to be happy about. In fact EVERY complaint i have mentioned is fixed by using mods.I dont know why Bethesda does not look at all these mods and create a ultimate official mod of their own or a patch that does the same.Yes alot of hard work went into testing and creating this game and that is why am going to the time of stating factual problems in a hopefully respectful manner because this aint easy and i sure as hell would have loved to see the sequel to ARENA and DAGGERFALL come out right.Untill then or TES4 i will keep playing with what mods i can because that is the only way this game reaches its full potential in gameplay. With Mods i would rate Morrowind a 10 without them a 5 for a job still not done.
