Warcry has previewed Sacred based upon the public demo. Their overall impressions are pretty positive:
If Sacred manages to deliver on the online front, offering up to sixteen player co-operative play and the yet unexplained mode “Hack n’ Slay”, we may have finally found a game that is, dare I say it, Diablo II. That’s a very large “if”, yet it is promising. I am disappointed in the overall lack of effort in the sound department. There are a few minor things that caused me the odd annoyance, like the archaic looking in-game dialogue boxes and merchant screens but nothing too damaging. Still, if Ascaron can keep all sixteen regions of Ancaria at the same level of detail present in the demo, then a very good, no an excellent game will be the result.
