Here's an excerpt: Although it hasn't been finalized yet, the current line of thinking concerning Jedi in Galaxies is that every character will have an opportunity to become one. "It will be difficult, though," said Koster, "and the journey will be unique for every player." SOE is claiming, however, that "difficult" doesn't mean only hardcore players stand a chance at it, and they're not going to cap the Jedi population limit artificially. Pursuing the path of a Dark Jedi will also be possible, but practically every environment will be hostile to you. Since Vader and Emperor Palpatine occupy the only two Sith positions that exist at one time, this will not be attainable by players. Lightsabers, including double-bladed, can be crafted, but once again, this will also be "difficult."
