The nice guys over at gaminggroove found a new preview of Morrowind at Epigamer. It's based on the press beta, and it's nice to read, since it contains little to few spoiler. Since the question about game size is on of the most heard ones, here's what the article says about it:
If you follow your orders as given at the start of the game, you make your way to Balmora. I explored Balmora and joined a guild, as well as following my orders. Balmora is a much bigger settlement than Seyda Neen, but is not awfully massive. If you have played Daggerfall you will recall that some towns are massive. At this point I was beginning to wonder if the game really was on the same scale. Having taken time to explore a few more locations I soon realised the game was just as big as I expected it to be.
I visited Vivec, a large settlement split into many different areas. It has taken me several real-world hours to explore just a small proportion of this vast location, bringing back the sense of how truly massive the game is. Exploring locations is defiantly fun though, despite the time it takes. Each town has its own architectural styles. This reflects both the interior and exterior locations. | Source: ToTheGame |
