Samall has posted Part Three of his Morrowind preview over at Euro-Morrowind. This installment focuses on gameplay, particularly the NPC's and the combat system. Have a fishystick:
Spells vary somewhat from marksmanship as a weapon. The success of actually casting a spell in the first place again relies upon the characters skill in that school of magic. However there are also other spells available that specifically affect only the player character (such as a healing spell that targets self). At the other end of the spectrum, and especially common with many destruction spells is the inclusion of an effect radius factor within the spell, meaning that a successful fireball spell for example, that affects a radius instead of just a target, doesn't necessarily have to be spot on to deal out damage. Indeed aiming at the ground just between two enemy NPCs can often damage them both.
