The writer was very positive about the expansion, what can be seen from the 4/5 star rating. Here's a snip: Throne of Bhaal is a solid expansion pack for Baldur's Gate II. Not as great as the original in terms of overall fun or value, but worth it for fans as the conclusion to the saga as well as a bridge until the "next big thing" in CRPGs hits: Neverwinter Nights.
