If you haven't been following Star Wars Galaxies in the past few weeks, the times, they are a-changin'. Details about Rage of the Wookiees, the game's second upcoming expansion, have begun to surface, quelling much speculation within the game's playerbase. Just as significant, the nature of the game's long-awaited "combat upgrade" has been revealed. Those not in favor of it are up in arms, criticizing its designers for what they perceive to be pandering to new players, and ignoring the needs to veterans. Recently, we got to sit in on a lengthy demo of the Rage of the Wookiees expansion, in which many of its key features were revealed, and the combat upgrade, which will go live concurrently with the expansion's release, was also talked about and demonstrated. Suffice it to say that Galaxies will be a radically changed game after both of these updates put into effect.
