Here's why they think the game is mediocre at best: Gothic could have easily been one of my favorite games of all time, combining great visuals, a huge world, freedom of choice, and an interesting plot with a deep medieval setting. Unfortunately, a combination of minor glitches, serious bugs, and apparent apathy from the publisher and developer make this one impossible to recommend. If they ever decide to patch Gothic, grab it. If they never do, avoid it.
