Gamesradar has sent out its rays to find out more about Irrational's superhero RPG 'Freedom Force vs The Third Reich'. The result can be found here. The original RPG opened a door to a colourful new world which scrapped elves and wizards for buffed superheroes in spandex. Clearly, any game where your character cries "For Patriot City!" when he biffs someone has something going for it, but this was a game by Irrational: makers of the fabled System Shock 2. It had all their hallmark interactivity and freedom of action. Everything was destructible. Everyone had unique superpowers. You could tear a lamppost out of the ground and use it to flatten your enemies like ninepins, and if there wasn't a lamppost around, you could always use someone's car. |
