RPGDot Game Rating Machine

Gig has rated the following games:

Arcanum - Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura: 7/10 points

This great game had potential for tedium but, overall, one of the most open ended of RPGs. Your choices influenced the end of the game, which was a terrific touch. The only serious problem with Arcanum was the level cap, which was far too easy to reach, much too early in the game.

Asheron's Call: 10/10 points

One of the only games that played exactly as it was hyped, a non-stop free-for-all from end to linear end, nothing more, nothing less. I can't justify taking points away for lack of features that DS never claimed to have. The game was amazingly fun once you became accustomed to the pace, which was frantic to say the least! Dungeon Siege definately gets kudos for great and seamless performance with cutting edge graphics! Other game devs could stand to read a page out of that book!

Blade of Darkness: 10/10 points

A great game that actually worked right as soon as it was installed without a patch! It wasn't an RPG and wasn't meant to be seen as one. It worked perfectly for what it was meant to be.

Dungeon Siege: 10/10 points

See my comments on Asheron's call, since I accidentally gave that game, which I've never played, a 10 rating. I thought I was rating DS. :(

Elder Scrolls 3 - Morrowind: 5/10 points

Not bad, not great... Kind of disappointingly sterile for such an anticipated game.

EverQuest: 3/10 points

The players turn this game of potential to dirt! Player misbehavior ruins this game completely.

Evil Islands: 9/10 points

Another one of my favorite games. E.I is a very hard game, which is why I subtracted a point. This game has absolutely the best armor/weapon system of any game! If any one system should became the standard, E.I.'s is it!

Gothic: 10/10 points

Absolutely my favorite game of all time!! The world is amazing, the combat scheme is phenomenal and the NPCs are absolutely peerless!

Might & Magic 9: 7/10 points

Great game but big, show stopping bugs made it unplayable in parts.

Neverwinter Nights: 7/10 points

The game itself probably deserves a higher score than a seven but performance issues have finally gotten to the point that I can no longer play NWN. It's an amazingly beautiful game with terrific potential, but until the performance issues are fixed I can't justify a higher score.

System Shock 2: 9/10 points

An amazing game! The creep factor was incredibly high... the biggest element that determines immersion for me.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption: 9/10 points

One of my favorite games! High creep factor, good grapics for the time, great story and the best acting of any game I've played. VTM:R Only loses points for the terrible pathfinding.

Wizardry 8: 3/10 points

So dull and boring that I finally gave up... I just didn't need that much sleep!
