Here are some examplary cheats. This list will be extended from time to time. If you feel something is missing or you find a mistake please post in our forum.


Censorship
How to adjust the blood level?
Edit the gothic.ini and change bloodDetail to a value from 0 to 3.

How to remove the bikini?
Rename or remove the bikini texture file.

How to reactivate the concert?
The German version contained a beautifully animated concert in chapter 2. Unfortunately it had to be deactivated in the international versions. Step by step instructions:
1. Load a chapter 2 savegame
2. Get on stage
3. Insert the band members (check our Special NPCs section, the 7 NPCs starting with InExtremo...)
4. Get off stage
5. Insert the other NPCs listed in this table. The announcer has to be the last.
6. Take a walk and return to the Old Camp. Cavalorn's hut should be far enough.
7. Type zTrigger InExtremo_Musik in the console.
8. Enjoy the show!

Or simply download the small patch from Gothic2.dk (Update: Gothic2.dk has been closed. Please post in out Gothic General forum if you would like to have the patch.)

NPCs
How to insert an NPC?
Open the console and type i insertCode. You can find insert codes for all NPCs in this guide.

How to take control over an NPC?
Focus an NPC and press 'o' (that's 'o' as in 'orc' and not zero)

How to make NPCs (in)vulnerable?
Focus the NPC in question. Press 'o' to posses the character; open the console with F2 and type e ab (for edit abilities). Then you will have to set the flags. Type f = 0 or f = 1 to make an immortal character mortal, and type f = 3 or f = 4 to make a mortal character immortal.


Items
How to insert an item?
Open the console and type i insertCode. You can find insert codes for all items in this guide.

Teleportation
How to teleport to a waypoint?
Select a waypoint from our list and enter gw waypoint in the console.

How to teleport to a coordinate?
Enter goto pos x,y,z (the axis coordinates of the point you wish to travel to) in the console

How to (de)activate the net of waypoints?
Use the console command 'toggle waynet'.

PC
How to activate invulnerability, etc.?
Open the console with F2 and type e ab (for edit abilities). Then you will have to set the flags. Type f = 3 or f = 4 to make your character immortal.

How to walk through walls?
Activate Marvin Mode, press k to teleport 2 meters forward and F8 to readjust your height.

How to disable (almost) all cheats?
Open the status screen, type 42, close the status screen.

How to mark important quests as solved?
Use the Story Helper. You can insert him with i SH.

How to export/import your character?
Use the console command hero export filename. Import is similar. Be careful, files are overwritten without warning.

How to learn skills without skillpoints?
Insert the Character Helper: i CH.

Bugfixing
How to open a gate if the winch is jammed?
You can open or close every gate with the console if you know its name. A few examples:

• zTrigger OldMineGate opens the gate to the Old Mine
• zTrigger FreeMineGate opens the gate to the Free Mine
• zTrigger evt_om_crawler_01opens the gate to the crawler area inside the Old Mine
