GameSpy has an article that sees a group of staff discussing World of Warcraft's newly-revealed Arathi Basin Battleground:The June 7 launch of the Battlegrounds for World of Warcraft, while marred by continuing technical problems, was, nonetheless, a success for the game. In fact, as we noted in our Battlegrounds After Action report, a few hours playing either the smaller 10 v. 10 Warsong Gulch Battleground or the monstrous 40 v. 40 Alterac Valley proves that Blizzard hasn't lost a step when it comes to game design. Despite of the current population imbalances that cause long wait times, both Battlegrounds are fun, though very different, experiences. Alterac and Warsong were never meant to be the game's only PvP competition, though. Sure enough, Blizzard recently posted details on their official Web site about the third Battleground, Arathi Basin, which will be available in the next update. |
