Before the start of the press conference, Microsoft was sure to liquor up attendees with plenty of alcohol served at numerous makeshift bars in the Shrine Auditorium across from the University of Southern California (Go to Trojans!). Hundreds of individuals imbibed drink while watching footage of titles marked by Microsoft as particularly important to the Xbox library. Seven different titles were previewed in video displayed before the conference including: Unreal Championship 2: The Liandri Conflict, Shrek 2, Full Specturm Warrior, Mechassualt 2: Lone Wolf, Conker: Live and Reloaded, Fable, and Star Wars: Republic Commando.
