The Dark side of Camelot is in the spotlight at a site called Combine Gaming Guild. Their complaints are about the lack of QA from Mythic and - as they put it - the imbalances of the game:
Breathe deeply, relax, it's not funny. Mythic are often wrong about their own game, clueless. The imbalances are outrageous, their claims of balance even more so. Too many classes are unfinished and gimped. Why haven't they done anything? Because they don't have the time to level up and try them! The game itself is unbalanced, the concept is a piece of shit, repetitive, no goals, no rewards, a bore to play. Why aren't they worried? Why aren't they losing sleep? Because they don't know! They think we're ranting because gamers like to rant.
Feeling disappointed?
Mythic has no QA (Quality Assurance) team in-house. For you non-tech people, QA are the ones who test a product and catch all bugs and flaws the developers miss. Mythic have set up a special test server named Pendragon staffed with volunteers who get absolutely no perks whatsoever for playing there. Pendragon is supposed to be their QA environment and untrained volunteer gamers are their QA staff. Ok, maybe it could still work, right? Wrong. At any given moment, a regular game server has 20 TIMES the number of people online (i.e. 2000 vs 100). Pendragon just last week became capable of taking an undefended keep, whereas regular servers have been doing that and much more for months. Pendragon will require a year to take a relic, if ever. The level of PvP activity is very very low. Pendragon is supposed to be a duplicate environment of the regular servers, it's obviously not.
Read the rest here, but be warned they have an annoying alert box on their site... | Source: gameznet |
