Their rating is 75/100, and their major critizism is targeted at the complicated puzzles, some clipping problems and the busg (since patched). On the other hand, they state that the game has great audio, good voice acting, good graphics, a cool magic system and nifty item manipulation. Here's their summary: Arx Fatalis is a fun game partially ruined by an early release date. Yes, the patch makes things a lot better (enough to easily recommend the game, in fact) but we can't just give a game a free pass for fixing problems that never should have been in the final release in the first place. If you don't mind adding on a patch, tack on a few extra points and enjoy one of the more surprising RPGs of the year.
