All the fun you've come to expect from the M&M series... This one doesn't quite stand up to the earlier installments, though. The poor graphics that people griped about in MM7 are back and might be even worse. You start with one character and recruit others instead of building your party from the beginning. Perhaps the biggest sin is in play balance, since one character race is dramatically overpowered. Even with all the flaws, you just can't kill the M&M winning formula for gaming addiction

A little repetitive and a really booring stoyline, but addictive gameplay as ever!

Oudated engine, good game play

I've long been a fan of the Might and Magic series, but this entry into the series is lacking compared to the others. Most of the complaints about the game are about its graphics - It still uses the engine of the previous two games, but it is not that bad. The problem is that the quests were horribly bland and boring, as was the game world itself. It really didn't compare to the last two games, but was still fun for fans of the series.

the worst Might & Magic of the triology 6,7,8 - the end of a triology should be the hardest game, not the easiest, if you you play with dragons in your party this game gets much too easy - a good way to get a better game balance is to play with lesser party members.

Not as good as 6 and 7

Same great stat building system, but a big letdown after M&M 7. Still way better than M&M9 though..

A solid RPG, but lacking the greatness of of Might & Magic 6

Shyguy has rated 5/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Shyguy)

The story wasn't bad in this one and there were some fun parts, but all in all, a major disappointment. The fact that the engine was getting very dated, wasn't really the main problem. The boring gameworld, uninspired quests, and lack of imagination killed this one.

The last good Might & Magic game. VII is better but this one is great too.

I really love the dark gothic setting of the game it really hits the spot on mood from the very begining with the Menu start screen with the sad pic of the old ship and haunting music to the grey skies with undead zombies and vampires stalking the land.My only complaint is the half done artwork that looks rushed out the door but still looks decent to good.

No improvements over MM 6 and 7. Addictive gameplay but terrible AI. Yuck!

Jeremy Norton has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Jeremy Norton)

This is one of my favourite games of all time. Whilst the graphics are not very good the gameplaye and storyline is excellent. It is a shame might and magic 9 tried to reverse this, its attempt at better graphichs ruined the series
