Discgamer has reviewed Nival's RPG-flavored turn-based strategy game 'Etherlords II'. Rating: 4 out of 5 stars.
All-in-all, I found this game to be well-executed and enjoyable to play as it gets you to think quite a bit about what strategy you should employ and when. I loved hitting my opponent with small spells and throwing waves of my creatures at him, wearing him down little by little and then finishing him off with the awesome comet spell, wiping him out with one stroke. It does get quite addictive, although as I mentioned it can be monotonous at the same time. There are some cheats available which can give you a small advantage if you so choose, but the challenge is trying get by with what you have and knowing when not to fight when up against almost-impossible creatures, which do come up and can frustrate your efforts. For those who like the D&D genre, this game will definitely give you many hours of enjoyment.
