Yah, first they say they'll be quiet and do no more PR fuzz until about a month before the beta, now, after a few days, they talk again. Good for us :-). There is a Horizons interview with Matthew Burroughs from the Horizons team at Horizonsvault, where he talks about various game related things. Here's how far they are into the development:

Can you give us an updated on where Horizons is?

Matt: We are currently entering a development crunch that will last for quite a few weeks to be sure. For anybody not familiar with the term: a "crunch" is basically where all the developers put in extremely long hours, sometimes in excess of 80+ hours a week, in order to meet the aggressive deadlines that we set for ourselves. The company has set some very critical milestones that we will be working very hard to meet. Unfortunately I cannot give out a real update of the status of Horizons other then that it is coming together at a very quick pace. We will make announcements in the future as to the milestones we have met, and dates for beta and release.
