Gamers with Jobs have posted their first impressions of Lionheart, Black Isle's latest publishing project. They seem pretty pleased at this point - here's an excerpt:
As for the story, again Lionheart resembles Fallout and even Baldur's Gate here, as the major plot is slow to manifested itself in full. Generally speaking over the first ten hours the game is forwarded more by side quests and character development than deep and direct involvement with a guiding narrative, though a thematic arc is defintely developed. This means that you have more options for non-linear gameplay and can tackle Lionheart as quickly or as methodically as suits your style. That's not to say, either, that there is no story, but one has the impression that Lionheart is content to spend its opening act building toward something rather than singularly thrusting the player down fated rails.
