The AOB team made a recent switch from Dungeon Siege to The Elder Scrolls Construction set. Though they give an explenation why they did this, we were stuck with a lot of questions as well, so we jumped over to their forum and luckily got some answers.
Dungeon Siege in my opinion has been over rated. And while it has an awesome engine, the real problem lies in the fact that GPG put together the very tools their talented staff used and threw them at us. While that may sound great to some, it can be a complete nightmare for most others. They were unwilling to release a polished set of tools that ordinary people could use. Most of us are "NOT" professionals, we are people making an effort on our free time to produce something that resembles professional quality work. This is where Bioware shines with their Aurora toolset. It clearly reflects a sincere effort on the part of Bioware to nourish the modding community. On top of this toolset that DS ships with, we are asked to work with Gmax; a product with limitation after limitation. And if you look at the many screenshots we put up, you will see that we had just about every aspect of DS modding in our pocket.
