Although the first review for Paradise Cracked has already rolled in, it's not yet available in all territories - thus Gamesdomain have posted a hands-on preview. Here's an excerpt:
From our time with the beta, the gameplay seems most similar to the X-Com range of tactical strategy games. It's turn-based, which will either delight you or cause you to lose interest in the game totally, depending on your preference. Unlike UFO: Aftermath, the upcoming remake of the X-Com games, there are no concessions to turn-based haters in Paradise Cracked, so don't expect fast-paced gameplay. Enemy movement is hidden, so there are not inconsiderable pauses between turns while the AI makes its tactical choices.
