One of the unfortunate realities of writing about Anarchy Online is that you inevitably have to talk about the disastrous launch. While every MMO starts with bugs and problems to resolve, Anarchy Online was legendary for starting in such a disastrous state; even now it stands as a testament on how not to kick off an MMO. Unfortunately, that launch obscures the fact that FunCom, the game's developer and publisher, has not only stuck with and improved the game since then, but they've managed to turn it into one of the best-run, most stable and most fun MMOs available today.
