Our previous looks at the game found a promising mix of Dungeons & Dragons story elements and Gauntlet-style gameplay. In that respect, nothing has changed drastically since we last saw the game. You'll still be assuming the role of one of four heroes who have been brought back from the dead to take out their old nemesis, Kaden, who has also been brought back from the afterlife. The key difference being, of course, that he'd like to conquer and pillage, while the heroes would like to restore peace. The game's structure is a mix of Gauntlet's pure arcade-style action and Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance's strong narrative. The game is basically linear, although you'll find subquests as you progress.
